Introducing…
GROOMSMEN
John Snyder (Best Man): I’ve known John since I was three years old when our parents met signing us up for Nursery school. Though we have never been in a single school together since, we have remained best friends. He is a second brother to me. The times we spent together at “V Baseball Camp” and hours spent playing Wiffleball will always remain the most memorable of my life.
Fun Fact: John was the third wheel with Katie and I on a week-long vacation to Punta Cana. He fit in perfectly.
Tom Olson: My older brother Tom barely made the wedding party having tormented me my entire life. In all seriousness, Tom is a great older brother and I emulated his every move, interest, and hobby growing up. He has always been a stand out role model.
Fun Fact: Tom and I had a Lego Land at our house for much of our childhood that spanned the entire basement floor.
Robby Mihalyi: Robby and I were college roommates at Purdue and friends while at Towson. His fearless ability to follow his heart was what got us both to Purdue. Had it not been for him, Katie and I may still be dating long distance.
Fun Fact: Robby and I totaled more than 10,000 driving miles from the East Coast to Purdue in our lifetime.
Rick Dilouie: From the moment you meet “Big Rick” you will see big heart. He’s selfless, loyal, and always ready to lend a hand. If you are ever on the wrong path he will be the one to steer you home.
Fun Fact: Rick played more than 160 softball games in 2010.
Josh Lowery: Josh was my freshman year college roommate, enough said. We’ve seen each other’s worst, which we would both describe as our best.
Fun Fact: Josh and I both entered college with long distance relationships from high school. He married his high school sweetheart in 2011.
Sandeep Ramachandran: Sandeep has an uncanny ability to make anyone smile. His happy-go-lucky and often childish personality can mesh with any crowd and his energy is contagious. It helps that he is a scratch golfer and taught me everything I know.
Fun Fact: I will not be surprised if Sandeep shows up late to our wedding.
BRIDE’S PEOPLE
Doug Peterson (Bride’s Best Man): It may be unconventional for Doug to be standing on my side of the Wedding Party, but Doug has always been on my side. Although I wanted to send him back to the hospital when he was first born, I’m glad no one listened to me. He’s turned out to be more than just a little-fuzz-ball-headed brother; he’s one of my closest friends.
Fun Fact: Before hitting college graduation Doug’s jobs included race car driver, volunteer fire fighter, and CEO of online company promoting products for women’s self defense.
Amy Widner: Amy and I blindly took on summer internships in Alaska together. We met for the first time in the Chicago airport en route to Anchorage. Little did I know at that point the fun-loving, loyal, and optimistic person I was meeting would become a friend for life. We survived Alaska and went on to share college adventures as roommates: Purdue breakfast club, spring break cruises, crazy professors, and earning a degree in HTM.
Fun Fact: While in Alaska, Amy and I filmed an amateur season of Bear Grylls: “Women vs. Wild: Denali National Park.”
Katie Keilman: The “California Girls.” Our whirlwind adventures kicked off when she moved to L.A. After setting her up with half of my furniture we spent the rest of our time dancing, laughing, and exploring the Golden State. Katie’s always full of energy, love, and passion for life – together we can take on the world.
Fun Fact: She’s a painter, body surfer, event planner, singer, dancer, romantic, and a traveler. Her favorite activity is undertaking everything at once while living life to the fullest.
Megan Holman: My co-“desert rat.” She provided my true sanities in a world turned upside with endless fun at the Red Barn, ogling the Los Angeles Lakers (Pao and Megan’s man Kobe Bryant) and sharing stories over wine after work. I don’t know how we both ended up in Palm Desert after college but I know I couldn’t have survived living there without her.
Fun Fact: Megan and the groom love to serenade each other to Katy Perry.
Emily Hutchison: As my first best friend at three months old, Emily taught me everything I know about what it means to be a true friend. From dolls and crafts to boys and makeup, Emily has always been there for me. This is especially true when it came to getting a job back in New Jersey from California. Matt and I will be forever appreciative for her help.
Fun Fact: Emily is an amazing artist in all mediums, including make-up and will be serving as the make-up artist for the wedding. She also referred our wedding photographer.
Joanne Schreiner: Robby Mihalyi (Groomsman) found her first, but Joanne and I quickly became close. She is always on my side when dealing with “the boys” and is a great partner when rooting for the Chicago Cubs and exploring all that Manhattan has to offer.
Fun Fact: Joanne recently completed an eight-mile vertical hike at the Delaware Water Gap.
